Here are some more of my portfolio highlights from various publications over the years
At The Globe, I have pitched original ideas across sections and conducted on-scene reporting, significant research and more to produce high quality content for the publication.
As a content editor in 2024 during the Paris Olympics' opening ceremony, I received live updates from reporters directly in Paris and had to continuously add them in the rolling article with up-to-date headlines, deks, photos, bylines and more.
Also part of my duties as the Communities Editor at The Eyeopener was getting the opportunity to pitch, edit and produce around 20 articles for a 16-page print issue.
Single-handedly, I developed its central theme of individuality and its importance during a time of political unrest and growing divides.
This was the largest solo project I had taken on and its end result is one I am extremely proud of as the entire issue encompasses various communities and uplifts their differences rather than diminishing them.
I first started contributing to The Eyeopener — Toronto Metropolitan University's independent student newspaper — as a writer in early 2023. Since then, I've written over a dozen articles and was the publication's Communities Editor from 2024-25.
As I entered J-School as a first-year student, Her Campus at Toronto MU — a women-led campus publication — was the first publication I joined. It was the first opportunity I had to build a portfolio while still writing about topics of interest.
I also have features published in other media outlets such as T· and Canculture Magazine with my articles focusing on marginalized communities and the advocacy they embark on in their localities for personal as well as international causes.
These are some of my unpublished works created for class assignments during both my undergraduate and graduate degree. From hard news to album reviews and even broadcast clips, I've been able to develop a diverse skillset.
